Domain Names

Registering the right domain name is very important. If you make a spelling mistake, you have to stick with that domain name (for as long as you bought it) or register another one alongside it!
It is important you take the time to pick a domain name that isn't too long and it should be easy to remember. If the domain you want is taken try searching for it with a hyphen (-) in it or search for a different TLD (top level domain) ie .com or .net or .me.uk

A very important point to note is that Hackett-Host will allows the automation of .co.uk and .com websites only - If you want a domain ending in .net or .me.uk or .org, this will be processed as soon as possible after the order.

If you have already registered a domain name with a company like 123-reg or UKReg and want to use Hackett-Host for your site, you can do this also by changing the name server settings in your control panel. You can also transfer you domain in to Hackett-Host by changing the domain TAG to EXTEND
